The Head of the Parliamentary Budget Office, Andria Gvidiani and the Office workers met with the members of the Governmental Delegation of Tajikistan serving the visit to Georgia.
The central topics of the meeting were the financial system of Georgia and the respective reforms, the activity of the Budget Office and its role in the formation of the budget, as well as the budget transparency etc.
“Tajikistan is interested in the reforms that Georgia undertakes and hence, our experience is of high interest to them. We touched upon the successful reforms realized in the directions of budget transparency and public finance management. The Delegation members asked about the financial system of Georgia, parliamentary oversight of public finances, as well as the role of the Budget Office in parliamentary oversight and the consideration of the draft budgets. They appealed for the technical and advisory support in the reform implementation process to which we expressed our commitment”, - A. Gvidiani noted.
The Governmental Delegation of Tajikistan is composed of the Heads of the Financial Offices of the Parliament, the Presidential Office, the Ministry of Finance, and the Sector Ministry of Tajikistan.
